Media Learning Open Week
Oct 27-31, 2008
SYN opens its doors to educators.
Schools On-Air
DO YOUR STUDENTS HAVE A LOT TO SAY?
SYN offers your students the chance to present their own live radio show and get their ideas, opinions and expressions out to the ears of Melbourne.
SYN allocates 25 hours each week of its radio broadcast to schools, TAFEs and community youth centres. Each group has its own weekly timeslot, for the duration of a school term.
In a relaxed, positive environment, these young people gain fantastic experience and learn all about the strength of their unique voices. SYN’s broadcast on 90.7 FM stretches Melbourne-wide, and in an average week it reaches 124,000 listeners*.

Radio Tour
h2. Looking for a hands-on, dynamic excursion program?
Why not bring your students to SYN and give them a taste of media creation?
The SYN Radio Tour program allows young people to visit a radio station and get themselves in the studio.
They are guided in preparing and producing their very own radio program, something young people at SYN are doing every day.
The SYN Radio Tour is a 1.5 hour session, and is facilitated by a young SYN media maker.
